Spordle is seeking an experienced Full Stack web developer (NodeJS, React, NextJS) with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join its growing team.

This individual will be tasked with working on Spordle's two main platforms, Play and Page. They will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design, build, and deploy products in line with Spordle's vision and strategy.

We are looking for a developer who is passionate about sports and has an understanding of schedules, seasons, and sports statistics, particularly in sports such as hockey, baseball, and soccer. Any additional knowledge or interest in other sports would be a significant asset. The ideal candidate should follow and understand professional or amateur teams, whether through fantasy leagues or directly via league websites such as nhl.com, mlb.com, premierleague.com, or mlssoccer.com.

EXPERIENCE AND TECHNICAL SKILLS

Requirements:

  • Analyze, develop, optimize features
  • Ensure the quality of delivered software and develop automated tests
  • Proficiency in programming languages (essential): PHP, NodeJS, React, NextJS
  • Database: MySQL or Postgres

Assets:

  • Knowledge of OpenApi standards
  • Understanding of Design patterns
  • Familiarity with Codeigniter
  • Proficiency in Jira
  • Understanding of Deferred Objects
  • Familiarity with Swagger documentation standards
  • Proficiency in Postman
  • Familiarity with Github or other Git tools

Non-technical Skills:

  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Team spirit
  • Adaptability to change
  • Ability to creatively solve problems
  • Bilingualism (French and English) both orally and in writing
  • Curiosity and a strong desire to learn and understand new concepts

Academic Requirements:

  • College or university degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Possibility of hiring self-taught candidates based on their skills and experiences

Job Type: Permanent, full-time. Remote working minimum of 2-3 days in-person at the head office located at 602 Boulevard Curé-Boivin, Boisbriand.
